Sydney Opera House

You can’t go to Sydney without going to the harbour, there is simply so much to see and do along the harbour, something for everyone. One of the things that you will see (kind of sticking out like a sore thumb) is the Sydney Opera House. It is a very unique design and sort of looks like a dish rack with drying dishes! The Opera House itself holds events inside, including musical acts, stand up comedy, and more. There is also a bar and restaurant, if you are looking for a meal.

Harbour Bridge Walk

Probably one of the most iconic things about Sydney, the Harbour Bridge. The Harbour Bridge is one of the most recognized things about not only Sydney, but also Australia. If you do walk the Harbour Bridge, you can guarantee you will not get any better views!

Luna Park

There are actually two Luna Park’s in Australia, one in Sydney and another in Melbourne. But if you ask any Sydney-sider, they will tell you hands down the Sydney Luna Park is much better! Luna Park is an amusement park located near the harbour, which means while you are having fun on all the rides on offer, you also get fantastic views of iconic Sydney tourist attractions, like the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

Queen Victoria Building

If you like history, culture, architecture…and shopping, then you have to visit the Queen Victoria Building. It is located in the heart of the city in Sydney and it is known as an historic landmark. There are high end stores to browse through, cafes and during the Christmas period, a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the building!

Manly Beach

We can’t have a list about the top tourist attractions for Sydney without including a beach! There are so many beaches in Australia, that is something they are known for, and some of the best, most iconic beaches are located in Sydney. Sydney holds famous beaches like Bondi and Manly Beach. It’s hard to determine which beach is best, but you should definitely try to go to at least one beach on your trip to Sydney.
